integrative health coaching based in Portland, Oregon and serving clients worldwide

My Approach

Integrative health coaching is individualized support for people seeking to move towards long-term, sustainable health. A doctor might offer you diagnosis and treatment for an illness or injury. A sports coach might prepare you to perform for a specific athletic event. A health coach can help you identify how you want to feel and help you draw a map to get there, starting where you're standing right now.

Inclusive

I support individuals of all gender identities, sexual orientations, body types, races, ages, abilities, and belief systems. My approach begins with radical acceptance of who you are today.

Science-Based

I hold a PhD in nursing science as well as a clinical Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP). I am trained in evidence-based practice and bring a research-informed perspective to health.

Individual-Focused

I am trained in integrative health and value a broad range of healing practices. Each individual’s needs and goals form the foundation of the plan and process.

Elizabeth Knight, PhD, DNP, FNP-C

Owner, Flower Power Health LLC

Elizabeth is an integrative health coach, educator, scientist, and nurse practitioner with over ten years experience working in health care. She received her training in integrative health and lifestyle promotion through the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona and is nationally board certified as a health and wellness coach. She also holds a certification from UESCA as a running coach.

Her clinical work has included intensive care, community health, mobile outreach, primary care, and college health. As a nurse practitioner, she has deep knowledge of preventive health care, health education, and how the healthcare system works (and doesn’t work).

She completed her graduate work at the University of Arizona’s College of Nursing, earning both a clinical Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) and a PhD as one of the first students to complete this prestigious dual degree program. Her doctoral thesis focused on trajectories of women’s cardiovascular symptoms. Her scholarly work has continued to focus on gender equity in health care, including meeting the needs of transgender and gender-nonconforming people.

Elizabeth is a trail runner, yoga practitioner, and enthusiastic adventurer. As a kindergartener, Elizabeth's classmates wrote that she loves traveling and helping people and her favorite foods are pizza and salad. Some things never change!
